We recently conducted a successful covert surveillance operation for a client who resides in Smithtown, Long Island. Our client contacted us when she became aware that her ex-husband was failing to care for their child properly during his visitation. She requested that we help her determine if he was drinking during his visitations and driving while under the influence with the child in the car. This is a serious allegation and one that needed immediate attention. The client telephoned us on Wednesday afternoon very upset and concerned about the visitation that was to occur the next weekend beginning on Friday evening. We immediately went to work. We met with the client on Wednesday evening to gather all the preliminary information needed to begin on Friday. We had investigators assigned at her home and his. In addition, we had investigators in position to follow and observe the subject driving. Video and digital equipment were on hand to record all the subject’s activity. As a result of the investigation enough evidence was gathered to have this subject’s visitation suspended pending further court action. We are happy to report that the children are safe. The client has a family court trial date set and we will be there to testify and provide all evidence gathered. We recently completed and child custody investigation for a client from Babylon, Long Island, New York, 11702 who has been experiencing child visitation issues with her child’s father. Our client requested that we provide documentation proving that father leaving his daughter in the care of others during his visitation time and that he was leaving the child and going out drinking. In addition, the client learned from the babysitter that the father would return to pick up the child in the past and appeared to be intoxicated. Over a period of a month we conducted surveillance on the father during his scheduled visitations and were able to verify and document that the father was not providing proper care of his child during his visitations and leaving his child in the care of other in direct violation of his visitation agreement. Our client then was able to petition the family court to modify his visitation. The family Court’s job is to make decisions that are in the best interest of the child. In this case the safety of the children while in the care of the father was in question and the mother had every right to be concerned. We were able to help by simply providing our client with the proper evidence so she could prove her allegations to the court.
